According to NJMLS data, 610 single-family homes sold in Bergen County during July 2026, up from 536 sales in July 2025. At the same time, the countywide median sold price increased from $875,500 to $950,000.

Bergen County Home Prices Rose 8.5% Year Over Year
The median sold price for a single-family home in Bergen County reached $950,000 in July 2026. That represents an increase of approximately 8.51% compared with the $875,500 median recorded in July 2025.
This is a substantial year-over-year increase for a county that already carries some of the highest home values in northern New Jersey.
Price conditions can vary considerably by municipality. Buyers can browse current listings in communities including Fort Lee, Franklin Lakes, Mahwah, Ridgewood, and Rutherford.
More Bergen County Homes Sold in July 2026
Higher prices did not coincide with declining sales activity. In fact, 610 single-family homes closed during July 2026, compared with 536 during July 2025.
That represents an increase of approximately 13.8% in closed sales year over year.
The combination of higher prices and more transactions suggests that July was an active month across the Bergen County housing market rather than simply a period of price appreciation on limited sales volume.
Bergen County Homes Continued to Sell Quickly
The median Bergen County home sold after just 16 days on market in July 2026. The July 2025 median was 17 days.
Homes also closed at a median of approximately 103% of their final asking price. In July 2025, the corresponding figure was approximately 104%.
While every property and municipality is different, these figures indicate that properly positioned Bergen County homes were still attracting strong buyer demand during July.
